Long Beach is about to fill up with school nutrition professionals. The California School Nutrition Association (CalSNA) will hold its 74th Annual Conference at the Long Beach Convention Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd, from November 11 to 14, 2026.
The conference is the yearly gathering for the people who feed California’s students: cafeteria managers, directors, culinary staff, and the industry partners who supply them. Last year’s edition was in Pasadena. This year the event moves to the waterfront, with the convention center a short walk from the harbor, restaurants, and hotels.
Outside the sessions and the exhibit floor, the President’s Party on Friday, November 13 is the social highlight. It runs from 6:30 to 10 p.m., and this year’s theme is “Let’s Rodeo.” Western attire is encouraged, with food stations and casual seating around the room. It’s a good chance to swap ideas with colleagues from across the state over a plate of something that isn’t a sheet-pan lunch.
CalSNA’s mission is to help members serve healthy meals so kids can thrive in school and beyond, and the conference is where that work gets shared and sharpened.
If you’re going: The conference hotel block was reported sold out, though cancellations can reopen rooms, so check back. The nearby Fairmont Breakers Long Beach (210 E. Ocean Blvd) was also listed as an option. Details and registration are at calsna.org.
